The Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers runs over three weekends across the city's parks, with the big free displays in Queens Park and Laurel Bank Park. Queens Park alone is planted with around 50,000 seedlings and bulbs each year, including pansies, petunias, dahlias, delphiniums and Dutch iris. The parks are free to wander at any hour during the Carnival, while food events like FEASTival are ticketed. Toowoomba sits on the Great Dividing Range about 90 minutes' drive west of Brisbane.

Toowoomba is about 90 minutes' drive from Brisbane, with Greyhound and Murrays coaches and Queensland Rail services from Brisbane.
